How To Care For Your Flowers
Here are a few secrets to how to keep your flowers fresh for longer.
For Bouquets
- Remove wrappers and recycle or reuse for future art projects. The Earth will thank you for it. 🙂
- Place the flowers in a water source (glass bottles, vases). Make sure the water is cool or room temperature, never warm or hot.
- Change the water daily to avoid rotting.
- You may cut a little off of the stems of the flowers to ensure that the flowers can absorb the water.
- It would be advisable to store flowers in a cold room or any room not directly facing the sun, as to keep it from drying up faster.
- For best results, you may choose to add some floral food to keep the flowers fresh for longer than 1 week. 🙂
For Vases
- Change the water daily to avoid rotting of the flowers’ roots. If you do not wish to rearrange the flowers, you may change the water by filling the vase up with running faucet water so that the existing water flows out of the vase.
